Liz Faber, PhD

Dr. Liz W. Faber is a case researcher/writer for the Harvard Business School, an adjunct instructor for Johnson & Wales University, and an independent scholar. Their research areas include science fiction, science communication, feminist technoscience studies, AI ethics, AI pedagogy, computer history, and general pop culture studies. They are the author of The Computer's Voice: From Star Trek to Siri (University of Minnesota Press, 2020) and Robot Suicide: Death, Identity, and Artificial Intelligence in Science Fiction (Bloomsbury, 2023) and the editor of Under the Mistletoe: Essays on Holiday Romance in Popular Culture (McFarland, 2024). They are co-editor for the DeGruyter-Brill series Pop Culture in Context.

Their current research focuses on gender, labor, and AI.
